I've come to the conclusion that people value different things and should try to be on teams that match their values but at the same time be open to learning from people that disagree with them.

If a person likes TypeScript, they should find a team that uses it.

If they think vanilla JS is better and it makes them happier, they should do their best to find a team that uses vanilla JS. :)
